So… September was pretty memorable, to say the least. Here are the emotions I’ve felt that could summarize the month, starting with how it ended:
Heavy

Some days felt really heavy, and one reason is about something I really care about: mental health.
September is Suicide Prevention Month, and sadly, some people are not only closed-minded about mental health, but they are also dismissive and awfully vocal about it on the Internet. I really care about mental health, and seeing mean comments makes me feel heavy. It’s upsetting. I hope that someday, the whole world becomes more understanding of people who suffer mentally.
Happy
But thankfully, most days were really happy!
I’ve never been more productive since I got a new laptop. I watched multiple series like The Good Place and Psych (for the nth time). I also celebrated a few occasions, like the 15th anniversary of my favorite show, Person of Interest. I also went out more often to walk (briskly or not) and try new affogatos. Most importantly, going to Osaka with my family next month and conversations with new friends and old loved ones have been my happy thoughts.

Restless

I also felt restless last month. Happy thoughts (especially the upcoming family trip) kept me up at night. Upsetting thoughts kept me up at night. Creative ideas like how I will vlog or illustrate something kept me up at night. Basically, my mind couldn’t stop overthinking, and that almost ruined my sleep. (I did have the most wonderful 10-hour sleep in years in the middle of the month, but that’s that.)
And those are the emotions I felt last September.
I’m really excited this October because most of my family celebrate their birthdays this month, and we’ll celebrate in Osaka! Yay!
That’s it, pansit.
