Post 69: Recent Emotions (Part 8)

This time, I summed my emotions for August 2026 in a different way.

Post number 69. Nice.

Anyway, new Recent Emotions post! Usually, I illustrate the three emotions that sum up this month in Adobe Illustrator. But honestly, for August 2026, I don’t feel like doing that. This time, I’ll sum it up with photos!

Sad

Personally, for the past several years, August has been awful because it reminded me of a few significant things that ended and a few events that changed me for the worse. It’s been years since then, but as a guy who feels and thinks a lot, it still makes me sad.

In fact, when the month started, I instantly felt sad, and I expected it to be a clusterfuck. It also didn’t help that it rained for several days, our house almost got flooded, and my old laptop gave up on me. (The latter really affected me, honestly.)

But then again, even if I instantly felt sad when August 1 started, it turned out great. In fact, the whole month turned out better than I expected!

I started going out again and tried new cafes. I watched the amazing Spider-Man: Brand New Day for the second time with my family. (See what I did there?) I tried to be more creative; notably, I tinkered with the Blackmagic Camera app. And most importantly, my parents bought me a new laptop! (I’m truly grateful for that. Thank you!) And while there are still things that made August awful for me, the happy things made it up for it.

Angry

Wait. After all that, I’m angry? Let me explain.

Like I said, I’m a guy who feels and thinks a lot. But I’m doing my best to regulate that, since I have a history of feeling things too much, and I ended up getting distracted and ruining my plans and goals. I really appreciate all the things that made me happy last August, but if I let that emotion take over me, nothing better will happen to me. And the weird thing is that sometimes, I get things done when I’m angry. I’m not going to be ballistic to everyone, of course. I will just let that anger motivate me while I control it as well.

And that sums up my August 2026. I look forward to these ber months, especially October and December! Wink wink.
