Nowadays, a day isn’t complete for me without coffee and tea. One is energizing, the other relaxing. I need both.
In the morning, I drink one cup of black coffee. No cream, no sugar; just plain yet strong espresso that gives me the energy I need for my early tasks. And during the summer season, I don’t like my morning coffee hot. I just add 2 tablespoons of warm water to my espresso, then pour cold water and lots of ice, and presto—cold brew.
In the afternoon, I drink one cup of honey/ginger/citron tea. As much as I love the feeling of being hyper while working, I want to calm my nerves and ease into the evening, so I drink my favorite kind of tea. Its sweetness is just right, and I love that it warms and soothes my throat, stomach, and nerves as I finish my remaining tasks.
Coffee and tea. Energizing and relaxing. Day and almost night. And right now, I love having both during the day, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
