Post 19: Sticky Notes for Myself (Part 3)

The third set of self-reminders.

I had another really busy day at work, but thankfully, I cleared them before dinner. Now I have a bit of time to write some more Sticky Notes.


Hydrate.

You’ve mentioned twice here on your blog that “water is life.” But you will need to drink more water because summer is coming, and it will be overwhelmingly hot.


Trying to absorb everything could drain you.

For example, several years ago, as a wrestling fan, you tried to watch as many leagues as you could. WWE, AEW, NJPW, NWA… you name it. But now you accept that you couldn’t juggle that while you have a day job and other hobbies that you’d like to keep. Now it’s fine to say, “I watch WWE exclusively.” (Though I admit it’s still fun to watch non-WWE clips every once in a while.)

It’s like one of your old Sticky Notes: Don’t do everything all at once. You can’t.


Try again next time.

Speaking of hobbies you’d like to keep, writing is definitely on that list. You’ve been posting here every Tuesday and Thursday at 12pm for the past several weeks, then today happened. This is the first time in months you’ve blogged here at night, and you know what? That’s fine. Don’t beat yourself up. You can try again next time.

And besides, this is your personal blog. You’re not really required to write every Tuesday and Thursday; just when you feel like it.

To quote another Sticky Note: Progress, not perfection.
